UMANOIDI
This series of oil paintings, predominantly in black and white, is inspired by sketches made around the city, in museums, and through photographic image research. The works are created using the Blind Contour Drawing technique, where the focus is on capturing the raw, unfiltered essence of the human figure.
Umanoidi acts as a sincere mirror reflecting my perception of the urban world — a world often shrouded in darkness, where the only light comes from the figures of people moving through it. These figures, isolated yet connected, stand as symbols of humanity amidst the overwhelming complexity of modern life.
