As a wildlife and urbanscketcher artist, I had always been fascinated by the expressions of animals. And when I stumbled upon a group of apes in the dense jungle, I knew I had found my next project. But I wanted to do something different, something that would truly capture the essence of these magnificent creatures. That's when the idea of a black and white collection struck me.. I wanted to immortalize their expressions and lights in a way that would transform them from mere animals to relatable beings. I feel a sense of connection to these apes. In black and white, their faces seemed to hold a human-like quality, with emotions and thoughts that were almost palpable. People will see these apes not just as animals, but as individuals with unique personalities. And in that moment, I knew I had achieved my goal - to bridge the gap between humans and animals through the power of portrait. My collection in black and white of apes had become a symbol of our shared existence on this planet, reminding us that we are all connected in one way or another.
