From White to the Colors of Fairy Tales
A Journey Through Light, Matter, and Imagination
Light has no color, yet it contains them all. White, far from being a mere absence, is an infinite universe of possibilities: it is matter and imagination, the space where light takes shape.
In this exhibition, white is not just a starting point but a realm to be explored, a language that transforms into emotion. Through drawings and paintings, every shade tells a story, a dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between reality and dreams. Delicate brushstrokes and decisive lines sculpt the light, making it the protagonist of a narrative suspended between the tangible and the ethereal.
This journey, which begins in the endless gradations of white and black, gradually unfolds into an explosion of color, revealing new interpretations of characters from classic and modern fairy tales. The transition from monochrome to color is not a conclusion but a revelation—each artwork is a gateway beyond appearances, into an imaginary world rich with stories and symbols.
The pieces, mainly created with oil paints on canvas or masonite, are deeply rooted in direct observation. Many of these paintings originate from my Urban Sketches—drawings captured on the streets of the city or in the halls of museums—that later evolve into intricate compositions, enriched with colors, figures, and elements from the realm of fairy tales.
Each painting is a fragment of this journey, a piece of a world that expands from the purity of white to the evocative power of color. Every work is unique, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and signed on the back, ensuring its singular essence.
This is an invitation to embark on a journey—to see beyond what is visible, to rediscover white as a space of wonder, and to embrace the timeless magic of color.
